老公去公寓底下的販賣機
買卡樂比。
結果卡樂比卡住了，
就差那麼一點點。
我們一臉不可思議。
老公嘗試搖動販賣機，
我連忙阻止。
萬一有什麼警鈴響了
怎麼辦？
於是他再放錢
買隔壁排的卡樂比
結果沒能弄掉
之前那一包
我差點笑掉大牙
老公，你的科學不及格嗎？
他再放錢買同一排的卡樂比
那包終於掉下來了
但第二包卡住了
我問能通知保安嗎？
老公覺得保安無法處理
老公想放棄那包卡樂比
我說一定有辦法的。
怎麼能讓它吃掉我們的$1.80呢？
他先去停車
留我一人
若有所思的看著
那包卡樂比。
我從口袋裡挖出兩塊錢
就在進錢時
老公走了過來
遠遠就驚叫：
『不要再買卡樂比了！』
老公，別急
這次一定成功
小故事的寓意：
不要輕易放棄
遇到龐大的困難時
腦筋要轉得快
不要死死不變通

It was 1150pm. The Husband went to the vending machine below the condo to buy a packet of Calbee chips. But the packet got stuck by that little bit. We were dumbfounded.
He attempted to shake that machine and I quickly halted him. What if an alarm rang out of the blue?
So he put in more money and bought the Calbee packet at the row beside the stuck packet. But that stuck packet did not fall out. I nearly laughed my head off. Darling, did you fail your Science in school?
He slotted in more money to buy the 3rd packet of Calbee, this time on the same row. Great, the stuck packet fell out, but now the 3rd packet got stuck.
I asked if we should inform the guardhouse, but the Husband did not think the security had access to the keys of the vending machine. He wanted to give up that stuck packet of chips, but I stopped him. Surely, there must be a way. How could we let this monster of a vending machine eat up our $1.80?
The Husband drove the car to park, leaving me alone looking and pondering at the stuck packet of Calbee.
I dug out another $2 from my pocket. Just as I inserted that note into the machine, the Husband walked towards me, and yelled from afar, "Don't buy any more Calbee!!!"
Don't worry, darling. It would be a success this time.
Moral of this little story:
Don't give up easily. When fraught with monstrous obstacles, always think with a nimble mind. The day you stick to old-man thinking and refuse to adapt will be the day you give up on yourself.
